Artist
Olusegun Adejumo is a Nigerian artist whose four decades of practice have shaped contemporary figurative painting across Africa and Europe. Since his debut exhibition in 1986, his work has been shown widely, from Lagos and Accra to London, Brussels, Basel, and Stockholm. Currently featured in When We See Us: A Century of Black Figuration in Painting at Liljevalchs Konsthall, Stockholm, Adejumo’s oeuvre blends expressive draftsmanship with cultural reflection. He is director of Point Sixty-Five Gallery and has curated landmark projects, including Lagos at 50 for the Lagos State Government, cementing his role as both artist and cultural custodian.
